WappBiz Named Official Automation and Communication Partner for HEF Shakti Summit

Summarise this post with:

Pune, India — WappBiz was proud to serve as the Official Automation and Communication Partner for the Hindu Economic Forum (HEF), Shakti Summit 2026, hosted at Pune International Centre (PIC), Pashan

The summit brought together policymakers, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, innovators, and technology experts to advance discussions aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. Conversations focused on strengthening India’s capabilities across artificial intelligence, defence and aerospace, infrastructure, technology, knowledge and media, startups, and the temple economy.

As the Official Communication & Automation Partner, WappBiz built a WhatsApp-first communication ecosystem to support the event journey from registration through on-ground participation.

Using WhatsApp Business API-powered automation, WappBiz helped HEF streamline attendee communication, route incoming conversations according to user intent, and deliver QR-based confirmations for event entry. Membership-related journeys were also connected through WhatsApp and Zoho Payments, enabling users to move from initial interest to payment and confirmation through a connected workflow.

A key highlight of the summit was the unveiling of the Pune AI Vision, a roadmap aimed at positioning Pune as a leading centre for applied artificial intelligence. Presented by Partex.AI, the vision begins with a $50 million foundation programme spanning distributed GPU infrastructure and AI model development, with the ambition to scale into a $500 million platform. The initiative aims to train more than 100,000 professionals and create AI-led solutions for sectors including defence, healthcare, and advanced manufacturing.

The summit was presided over by Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, who emphasized the importance of stronger collaboration among government institutions, industry, investors, and academic organisations to develop globally competitive capabilities in sectors critical to India’s future.

The event also featured a dedicated Startup & Investor Track, organised in collaboration with MyStartupValley. The track created opportunities for startup pitching, investor networking with funds such as Kiani Ventures and Windrose Capital, and expert mentorship.

For a summit of this scale, effective communication was essential. Multiple attendee journeys, registrations, business discussions, membership workflows, live updates, and on-ground engagement activities needed to be managed without creating friction for participants or adding operational complexity for organisers.

WappBiz also powered Shakti Hunt, the summit’s interactive engagement experience. Participants could register, receive instructions, access clues, and continue their activity through WhatsApp, without needing to download or navigate a separate event application.

By bringing key workflows into one familiar channel, WappBiz helped HEF create a more connected and accessible event experience for attendees while reducing communication complexity for the organising team.

The partnership demonstrates how WhatsApp automation can support far more than event notifications. For modern events, it can serve as a connected operational layer for registrations, attendee assistance, QR check-ins, payments, business enquiries, and live engagement.
